Introduction

The year is 2033, exactly two thousand years since the passing of Jesus of Nazareth, and holy unrest has begun.

Different religions, colliding ideologies, and cultural tribalism have poisoned the political landscape as various sects of each major central belief system grasp for dominion. Colliding factions have all but torn the Abrahamic religions apart, with no clear voice presenting a united pillar for guidance.

As cultural wars ensue, perseverance through retaining historical norms under modern scrutiny proves impossible. Conflicting sects arm against each other with contested scripture, as political militias induce daily ground attacks.

Calls grow for a centralised committee to stabilise society, to unravel denominations, and standardise the modern religious factions.

Is Jesus God? The son of God? Or simply legend?

Is Noah’s Ark fact or myth? What else in the bible can be truly trusted?

Scriptures written hundreds of years after the protagonist is dead and buried. Omission of historical figures and the passing of subsequent holy battles in their name. These quandaries, and whether the world would even be better under no religion at all, have been raised.

Everything is in the air.

Religious leaders are called across the world to assemble in Athens, Greece. A political neutral zone between the ideological continents, the Council of Abraham forms a refuge for the intellectual exchange of political and religious leaders to solve the paradox of modern religion. If prevailed, the foundations of the three largest religions may rejoice in a familial union, rather than dissolve, sinking further into the abyss of a dark power vacuum.

Unbeknownst to those organised, dark forces grow. Ancient evils tow eternal strings, dogma and propaganda sculpting ideologies in their own image.

A new bible may be on its way - Where most see the war as just beginning, for some, it has almost been won.
